Product Scope

HermitTaxDE is a Shopify workflow app for invoice generation, DATEV export batches, ZUGFeRD-related invoice artifacts, and accountant handoff. It is not a full accounting system or tax advisory service.

Data handled

• Shopify order data needed for invoice generation and export batches.
• Store configuration such as business identity, address, VAT settings, invoice settings, and banking details shown on invoices.
• Billing status supplied by Shopify's app billing APIs. HermitTaxDE does not collect payment card details directly.
• Invoice records, export history, and related workflow metadata.

Security and support handling

Merchants should avoid sending raw customer records, payment details, credentials, or unnecessary personal data in support messages. Use screenshots and minimized examples where possible.

Merchant responsibilities

Merchants remain responsible for accurate setup data, accountant-approved account mapping, statutory treatment, final filings, and preserving records needed for their own business and legal obligations.
