How to Use Kedalion GPSR

Workflow guide for Shopify merchants building product safety disclosures.

The app helps organize and publish disclosure information. Merchants stay responsible for legal review, product evidence, and any required representative appointments.

1. Understand the disclosure job

GPSR work is more than scoring products. The practical job is to assemble clear safety, traceability, responsible-person, warning, and document information that customers and internal teams can understand.

2. Set shop defaults carefully

Defaults are shortcuts for values that truly apply across a large part of the catalog, such as the same manufacturer, EU responsible person, document base URL, or country of origin. Leave defaults blank when products vary.

3. Complete product disclosures

Open the product queue and start with products that carry obvious safety, age, electrical, toy, cosmetic, supplement, or document requirements. Complete the product-specific fields rather than relying on broad defaults.

4. Use field guidance while editing

Each field explains what it means, why it matters, where merchants can find the source information, and a common mistake to avoid. Use the guidance when asking suppliers, manufacturers, importers, or compliance partners for missing information.

5. Preview before publishing

Use the in-app preview to check whether the disclosure reads clearly before saving it to Shopify metafields. Rewrite vague warnings into specific customer-facing text before publication.

6. Publish through the theme block

After saving product data, add the Kedalion GPSR theme app block to the Shopify product template. The live block renders when storefront disclosure is enabled and at least one visible disclosure field is saved; the Shopify theme editor also shows setup guidance if the selected product is not ready yet.

7. Review live output

QA one product template first with EU-only visibility left off, then review representative products across product types. If EU-only visibility is later enabled, test using a storefront session or market configuration that reflects an EU visitor.

8. Keep evidence outside the app where needed

Kedalion GPSR can store disclosure values and document links, but merchants should keep their own source records, supplier evidence, representative agreements, product files, and traceability records.
