GPSR Field Guidance
The public version of the guidance shown inside the product editor, written for merchants gathering product safety and traceability information.
This education page is practical product guidance, not legal advice. Merchants should confirm requirements, evidence, and representative appointments with qualified advisors or compliance partners.
Traceability Fields
Manufacturer name and address
Use the legal manufacturer name and physical business address from packaging, product documentation, supplier records, invoices, or compliance files. Do not use the store name unless the merchant is genuinely the manufacturer.
Manufacturer email
Use a published manufacturer contact, product-safety inbox, or support email appropriate for the product. Avoid private staff addresses or unverified supplier inboxes.
Country of origin
Use supplier records, customs information, packaging, invoices, or manufacturer documentation. Do not guess when origin varies by batch.
Batch or serial tracking
Flag products where packaging, supplier records, category rules, or internal process require batch, lot, serial, or production-run traceability.
Responsible-Person Fields
EU responsible person
Use the appointed EU representative, importer, fulfillment operator, authorized representative, or other valid responsible person for the product. Confirm this from supplier, legal, or compliance records before publishing.
EU address and email
Use the physical EU address and external product-safety contact supplied by the representative or compliance partner. Kedalion does not provide or become this contact.
Safety Content Fields
Safety warnings
Use packaging warnings, manuals, supplier safety sheets, risk assessments, or existing product instructions. Write one warning per line so storefront output stays readable.
Hazard summary
Summarize the main product-specific hazard in clear customer language. Avoid vague reassurance such as "safe product" when a precise warning would help the shopper act safely.
Age restriction
Use the wording from packaging or instructions, especially for toys, craft items, electrical goods, cosmetics, supplements, and hobby categories with age-specific warnings.
CE marked
Only tick this when the product category and evidence support it. Check packaging, labels, declarations of conformity, supplier documentation, or manuals.
Documents and Publishing
Document links
Add one full public https:// URL per line for manuals, declarations, certificates, or safety sheets. Avoid private admin links and temporary signed URLs.
Storefront disclosure
Entering data is not enough. Save and preview the product profile, enable storefront disclosure, add the theme app block, and review a real or preview product page.
